Over the years, we have asked guests why they return to Hawkhill year after year, and one reason is consistently mentioned - To completely unwind.

Hawkhill Farmhouse sits in its own grounds - in which guests are free to wander, sit and simply enjoy. Take in the songs of the birds, the buzzing of bees and look out for a glimpse of the elusive red squirrel .

The surrounding countryside is both beautiful and varied - we are only a few minutes from the coast, with mile upon mile of golden sandy beaches, which very often, you can wander in blissful solitude without seeing another person. There are miles of well signed footpaths that let you see Northumberland at a very sedate pace, whilst revealing much that would be missed by the car passenger simply whizzing through.

We maintain the gentle, unhurried pace within the farmhouse itself. Start your day with a leisurely breakfast, take a seat and another coffee in the drawing room. Check the papers, have a chat, plan your day, take a wander through the doors into the grounds, have a seat, watch the birds..... Get the idea!
